The Big Gear is turned by the smaller gear that is attached to the Fly Wheel, the part that has the belt attached to it.
How does it work?
The motor turns the Fly Wheel which in turn rotates the the Big Gear which rotates the Drive Shaft that operates everything else.
The Big Gear can show wear over time as gear teeth become chipped or broken. Keep this part lubricated and cleaned of any debris that may cause damage. Also, make sure the Fly Wheel is securely attached to the base of the machine. A loose Fly Wheel can cause damage between the Small Gear and Large Gear which will result in broken gear teeth.
